Interpretation of VCA mock exam
After the summary of the VCA mock exam, your result will be displayed on the screen. Here’s how to correctly interpret your mock exam result.
Special attention should be paid to the percentage of the test result (in the above case 78.96%) and the minimum pass threshold, which is 65%.
First, we suggest selecting the pink button at the bottom “View Questions”. After clicking, the test you have solved will expand again, this time with information about correct and incorrect answers.
After clicking the navy blue button “My courses and test” you will be redirected to the list of all tests that you have access to.
If you select the “Exam Booking” button, the website will redirect you to the registration form for the official VCA exam.
Result interpretation - after selecting "View Questions" button
You can easily see which questions were answered correctly and which were incorrect. Below each of the questions there is a message “Correct” in green “or” Incorrect “in red.
In three types of questions, i.e. sentence correctness assessment (Yes, No), multiple choice and matching (dragging answers) it is necessary to select all the answers and mark them correctly. If the question has been answered partially correctly, the whole question will be marked in red. Points for such an answer are awarded partially, in proportion to the number of correct answers.
Below you can see how the system marks the correct and incorrect answers for each type of question.
Single-choice questions
Only one possible correct answer.
Multiple-choice questions
More than one answer is correct. In this type of question, points are counted partially, proportionally to the number of correct answers.
Green field filled in – correct answer.
The field marked with a green frame – correct answer – not selected during the test
Red frame – wrong answer
An example of an incomplete answer. The missing correct answer is marked with a green frame.
Yes / No or True / False Questions
In the case of Yes / No or true / false questions, we must select the correct option for each of the visible sentences. Each of the selected answers must be correct to get the full possible point. If we do not choose the correct answer for any of the sentences, the system will show it by highlighting the answer in red and indicating the correct answer, and the point will be awarded partially.
Question - match or order in the correct order
Drag-and-drop questions require you to arrange them in the correct order or to match the appropriate elements together. Only one order is correct and all answers must be in place for the question to be scored correct. If you choose the wrong order, the system will show you which answers are in the wrong places and which are in the right places. The correct order will be displayed at the very bottom. If it is necessary to match items, information about the correct answer will be displayed under the question.
Remember you can go through the mock exams multiple times. After you have completed all tests with satisfactory results, you can register for the official VCA exam via the button “Exam booking”
